It's not goodbye, forever...

In the fall my youngest will be entering Kindergarten. Which, ironically enough is when most parents can actually head back to work haha! But for us, we are a homeschooling family and this means I’ll be investing even more of my time here at home. I’ve been managing to multi-task this far with minimal (but not zero) balls being dropped, but homeschooling three children AND running a business MIGHT make my head fall off. This has me facing a hard decision, one that I have been mulling over for a while now. Homeschooling is so important to me, it has been an incredible thing for our family in so many ways and it requires me to give 100% of myself.

So I’m announcing that I will be taking a hiatus from photography. I won’t be keeping my studio which makes this a little less temporary. I’m not entirely sure what the future holds for my photography business, but I do know this isn’t the end. It’s just goodbye, for now.

At the end of the day, this has been an incredible experience and an absolute dream come true. Four years ago this was just another decision I was mulling over, terrified to take the leap. What if leaving makeup would be a mistake? What if I wasn’t any good at photography? What if I fail?

October 1st, 2019 was the day I got the keys to my studio. Everything felt exactly right in that moment. Over the last four years I’ve met incredible women and heard amazing stories. I’ve cried with you, laughed with you, shared stories with you. I’ve watched women’s confidence transform before my very eyes. I’ve captured your pregnancies and your families. This became so much bigger than I ever could have imagined and I’m so grateful for every single one of you that trusted me to capture you.

October 1st, 2023 will be the day after my last booked client, the end and the beginning. And everything feels exactly right in this moment. <3

I am not taking anymore clients past September 30th, so if you are looking to book, I would book as soon as possible!!!! I am opening more dates than I usually would from now till then to try and accommodate everyone who wants to get in before I leave.

Because of the short timeline, I will allow new clients to extend their payment plans up to 3 months past the booking date. Usually if you are on a payment plan it can be set up in any way you want as long as your final payment is made by the day of the session. In this case, you can extend the plan past the session, but won’t receive any final products until your final payment is made.

My catalogs of images won’t be going anywhere, so if you want to purchase prints or images, you can always reach out to me.

If you’re still waiting on final images, albums, etc don’t worry. I will fulfill all client orders. If you’ve already booked, your session is safe!
